Dubrovnik is the one of the most important and most beautiful Croatian cities situated in the south of dalmatian coast. This is one of the most attractive tourist destinations because of its wonderful renaissance, gothic and baroque churches, palaces, monasteries and fountains. Thanks to all those valuable monuments and architectural heritage, since 1979., the city of Dubrovnik joined the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.

One of the most popular and most attractive monument of Dubrovnik are the walls which have been a popular filming site for the Game of Thrones, HBO television series. Walls of Dubrovnik run almost 2 km encircling majority of the old city center. This valuable structure contains five fortifications and sixteen bastions and towers.

Except the walls, other locations used in the show are Lokrum island, St. Dominic street, Rector’s palace and Sponza palace, Fort Lovrijenac, Fort Bokar, abandoned hotel Belvedere, the Minčeta tower and Trsteno arboretum.

If you want to see the city from above, we suggest a visit to Srđ hill where everyone can be amazed with the breathtaking view on the roofs of the old city of Dubrovnik and turquoise blue Adriatic sea. Its height is 412 metres and visitors can use Dubrovnik Cable Car to reach the top of the hill which takes only four minutes.
