Šibenik is historic little city situated in north Dalmatia. Although this city contains a lot of valuable historical monuments, special attraction for every tourist and the most important architectural monument is Saint James Cathedral.

 

Due to its design and complex construction, this cathedral has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites since 2000. Special fact about this monument is that it was built entirely from stone and the construction took 105 years, from 1431 to 1536.

 

For all those visitors who wants to enjoy in the beauty and serenity of nature can visit one of two national parks situated near Šibenik, national park Krka and national park Kornati.

 

Besides rich cultural heritage and beautiful nature, tourists can enjoy in the annual Šibenik International Children’s Festival which brings together all type of artists since 1958.
