Tisno is a touristic place near the town of Šibenik and the name itself describes its location on a narrow strait with a width of only 38 meters, which separates the island Murter from the mainland. Because of that Tisno is island village located partly on the land and partly on the island of Murter. It is connected by a drawbridge that opens several times a day during summer time.

Tisno strived for tourism for many years and the arrival of Garden Festival a few years ago Tisno turned into one of the most popular tourist destinations on the Adriatic. Every year thousands of young people are coming in Tisno to enjoy the charms of the beautiful beaches, turquoise sea, great gastronomic scene and electronic rhythms. The festival season lasts throughout the whole summer, the fun does not stop night and day, and festivals such as the International Love, Electric Elephant, Defected Croatia and Soundwave are the best invitation for all those looking for an unforgettable experience and wild parties.

Tisno is also known for its healing mud in the bay Makirina.
