City of Zadar is one of the most popular tourist destinations, situated in the middle of Croatian coast. This city is city of rich cultural heritage, tourism and interesting history.

 

The old town is situated on peninsula and abounds with numerous cultural and historical monuments. One of the most popular and most valuable monument, which is also symbol of the city, is church of St. Donat from the 9th century. Besides this beautiful pre-romanesque church, there are other historical monuments such as Saint Anastasia’s Cathedral, St. Simeon’s Church, St. Mary’s Church and Convent, St. Chrysogonus Church, Grisogono-Vovo’s Palace, Rectors Palace, the city walls and gates of Zadar and many other.

Besides the Sea organ, other special attraction is the Greeting to the Sun which contains three hundred multi-layered glass plates in the circle shape with 22 meter diameter.
